How we did it |
|
| Choosing the topic | After some
brainstorming and discussion (some in English, some in Italian) the
students decided for a survey on the use of
electronic communications tools among the members of the
class.
|
| Deciding on what to do | The students
planned to do the following:
|
| Workloads & organization | The class was
divided into groups, each group was responsible for one aspect of the
whole project: some would word process, some would work on Excel, others
were in charge of writing a draft report, and so on.
The idea was to exploit each student's best skills - even if some would not use much English during the project. It was also agreed that the work had to follow a number of steps, that were as follows (please click here to see chart)
|
| Use of English | It was agreed
that English should be used as much as possible during discussions and
also during the computer work (to a certain extent), and it was of
course mandatory for all the written parts.
As a matter of fact not all stuck to this principle, but some did (at least, when the teacher was around!).
